Visit Friends for Change to watch and chat–then pledge to go green!
Disney’s stars stress environmental issues in the campaign, which is called “Friends for Change: Project Green.” The year-long campaign draws on how Disney stars connect with young fans.
The messages begin Friday on Disney Channel and Radio Disney. Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the stars in those messages, which explain how kids can help preserve the planet.
“With Disney’s Friends for Change, we’re empowering kids to tap into the potential that lies within each and every one of them to make a difference,” Disney President Bob Iger said in a release.
In the most interesting part of the initiative, kids will tell Disney how to invest $1 million in environmental programs. Kids’ votes will determine how Disney donates that money, and youngsters can join the campaign at Disney.com
